Introduction to Pyrometry

Course to review and discuss the SAE AMS 2750 specification and how to apply the requirements in your company. The content will feature the new requirements of the rev. G audit, which has just been published.
Topics to be covered:
- Basic temperature sensors (thermocouples).
- Instrumentation requirements, including standard instruments, test instruments, control/monitoring/recording instruments, how heat treatment furnaces are identified, according to furnace and instrumentation class.
- How to perform System Accuracy Testing (SAT).
- When a Temperature Uniformity Study (TUS) is required.
Nadcap® Audit Preparation and Root Cause Corrective Action (Nadcap Style).

This training consists of two parts; the first part provides a breakdown of the preparations required for a Nadcap audit, for any particular process. The second focuses on the basic concepts of RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) and how to implement them to eliminate errors and defects, especially in response to NCRs (Non conformances).

- Nadcap and its Task Group.
- The audit.
- The audit criteria.
- Non-conformities (NCRs).
- Examples of NCRs (bad and good).
- The format of responding to NCRs.
